Establishment of the Institute of Exploration Geosciences

From January 1, 2023, the institutes and institute departments of the Faculty of Earth Sciences have changed. Among other things, the Institute of Exploration Geosciences was established, which combined two departments of the former Institute of Mineralogy and Geology, the Department of Applied Mineralogy (former Department of Mineralogy and Petrology) and the Department of Geology and Mineral Resources, as well as the Department of Geophysics and the Department of Mining, Geology and Public Administration. The Head of the Institute is Dr. Ferenc Mádai, associate professor.
